In June 2021, amidst the COVID-19 lockdown on the island of Bali, a group of friends started making homemade beef jerky to have healthy snacks for themselves and their friends. As time went by, unexpected demand and requests came pouring in, sparking our curiosity to learn more about local ingredients and the food system.
What began as a personal quest for clean, healthy food quickly grew into a larger mission. We realized that many like-minded individuals were also seeking nutrient-dense, bioavailable nutrition. This shared desire for high-quality, wholesome foods inspired us to create Bali Forages.
